1. COMMITMENT TO MEMBER PRIVACY & PRIVATE ASSOCIATION Safari Boys operates this platform exclusively as a private, voluntary association and curated shopping experience (the "Services"). By accessing the Services, you acknowledge that this is a closed club, not a public marketplace. We are completely committed to safeguarding the digital footprint and personal data of our members and strictly comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.

Safari Boys is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information within the context of our private club.

2. THE DATA WE COLLECT OR PROCESS When we use the term "personal information," we are referring to information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. We collect only the essential details required to manage your club membership, verify your eligibility, and fulfill your private distributions:

  • Contact & Fulfillment Details: Your name, billing address, secure delivery address, phone number, and email address.

  • Verification Data: A valid South African Identity Number or official identification, used strictly at the point of registration for automated, real-time age verification. We do not store raw, unencrypted ID data on public servers.

  • Financial Information: Payment confirmation, transaction details, and form of payment. (Note: Full credit card numbers are processed securely by our payment gateway and are not visible to us).

  • Account Information: Your username, password, security questions, and club preferences.

  • Transaction Information: Items you view, add to your cart, purchase, or request support for.

  • Device & Usage Information: Information about your device, browser, IP address, and how you navigate the Services, collected automatically to ensure platform security and functionality.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION Your membership status, cart history, and personal details belong entirely within the internal club ledger. We use this information exclusively for the following closed-loop purposes:

  • Providing Club Services: To perform our contract with you, process payments, fulfill orders, maintain your account, arrange for discreet shipping, and create a customized internal shopping experience.

  • Security and Fraud Prevention: To authenticate your account, verify you meet our strict 18+ age requirement, provide a secure payment experience, and protect the club against fraudulent or malicious activity.

  • Internal Member Communications: To provide customer support, send transactional notifications (like order updates), and send internal club updates strictly to your registered email address.

  • Legal Reasons: To comply with applicable South African law, respond to valid legal processes, and enforce our internal private club constitution and terms.

4. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION We strictly do not sell, rent, trade, or share member information with external data brokers, public marketing agencies, or corporate advertising networks. In certain necessary circumstances, we disclose your personal information only to essential operational partners:

  • Service Providers: With Shopify, our secure payment processors, and our designated local couriers strictly to manage IT, process payments, and execute final delivery of your goods.

RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide the technical infrastructure for the club. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify. Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information regarding their platform's technical functions. 6. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES The Services may occasionally provide links to websites operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of external sites. Our inclusion of such links does not imply endorsement, and you should review their respective privacy policies.

7. MINORS & CHILDREN'S DATA Safari Boys is a strictly age-gated private club. The Services are not intended for, nor may they be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact club administration immediately to have the data expunged and the associated account permanently terminated.

8. SECURITY AND RETENTION We retain your personal information only for as long as needed to maintain your active club membership, fulfill your orders, and comply with legal obligations. While we utilize secure, encrypted infrastructure, no digital transmission is entirely foolproof; we recommend safeguarding your account credentials at all times.

  • Delete: Request that we delete your personal information (which will result in the termination of your club membership).
